Epoxy Systems

MavCoat epoxy is the backbone of industrial resin flooring: seamless, chemical-resistant, and built up in mils you can verify. From MavCoat SLE self-leveling plant floors to MavCoat Metallic showroom finishes, the chemistry is the same — proven 100% solids epoxy, installed by the manufacturer.

One Chemistry. Four Finishes. Zero Seams.

Every MavCoat epoxy system starts the same way: mechanically prepared concrete, a penetrating coat of MAVPRIME EP, and a 100% solids epoxy body — self-leveling MavCoat SLE for general industry, a MavCoat PC broadcast build for texture and intercoat grip, or a clear-coated decorative layer for customer-facing space.

Broadcast and decorative installations are capped with MavCoat CES clear epoxy sealer, which encapsulates the aggregate while keeping optical depth and chemical resistance. One system family — documented end to end in the MavCoat HB Epoxy system guide — specified to your floor.

Why Facilities Specify MavCoat Epoxy

  • Verified film build — 100% solids means what we apply is what cures. No solvent loss, no shrinking films, no guesswork.
  • Chemical resistance — stands up to oils, coolants, alkaline cleaners, and intermittent acid splash common in plant environments.
  • Seamless and cleanable — no grout lines, no joints in the wear surface, no place for contamination to live.
  • Repairable for life — damaged areas are abraded and recoated; the floor never has to come out.
  • Safety striping and demarcation — aisle lines and zone colors are coated into the system, not painted over it.

MavCoat Epoxy Cross-Section

The standard self-leveling build-up. MavCoat PC broadcast and MavCoat Metallic systems modify the body coat and add a MavCoat CES clear sealer; thicknesses adjust per the project data sheet.

From Plant Floor to Showroom

Same primer, same body chemistry — the finish layer is tuned to the space.

MavCoat SLE — Self-Leveling

High-build 100% solids self-leveling epoxy. Smooth, seamless, and chemical-resistant — the default for production floors, warehouses, and maintenance bays. FDA compliant, with colors matched through the MavTints universal tinting system.

Texture: Smooth or light orange peel

MavCoat PC — Prime & Coat

Two-layer prime and coat system with a full broadcast to rejection of 36-grit silica between primer and topcoat. Mechanical aggregate interlock delivers excellent intercoat adhesion and slip resistance.

Texture: Broadcast, adjustable via topcoat fill

MavCoat HB Epoxy — High Build

Multi-coat high-build epoxy specification — primer, body coats, and topcoat options engineered per the MavCoat HB Epoxy system guide for commercial and industrial environments.

Build: Multi-coat, specified per system guide

MavCoat Metallic

Premium metallic epoxy with flowing three-dimensional visual effects, moved while wet for one-of-a-kind depth. Showrooms, lobbies, and retail floors that need to impress and still take traffic.

Finish: High-gloss MavCoat CES clear sealer
